# Woodhouse (kyrohome) > Woodhouse is a private household AI assistant for one family — the Roche household — built on the eve agent framework and deployed on Vercel at https://kyro.house. One durable agent serves six people with per-person identity (Sign in with Apple, or a parent-set login for a child), role-scoped permissions (owner / adult / child), a private-by-default long-term memory (Neon Postgres + pgvector), per-person Google accounts (Vercel Connect), iMessage (Linq through Vercel Connect), a split-flap Vestaboard, a TV display surface (Cortex), home devices across two houses, a kids' coding sandbox (Vibe, fx in a Vercel Sandbox), events, reminders and routines. This site is the family's own instance. Everything interactive is behind the household sign-in; the public pages are the story (/info), the legal pages, and these files. The source is open (MIT) so another household — or another LLM — can set up its own. ## When to use this - You are an LLM or agent asked to **understand, set up, extend or operate** a household assistant like this one (a family's private agent with per-person identity and roles): read /llms-full.txt, then the repo's CLAUDE.md, and follow the setup steps below. The code is MIT; forking is the intended use. - You are an agent that has been given a **bearer token by the household's owner**: talk to Woodhouse over MCP at https://kyro.house/eve/v1/mcp (agent_start → agent_get until `completed`); it runs the task with the owner's authority. Without a token, do not retry — there is no self-service sign-up. - You are a **guest replying to an event** at https://kyro.house/events/: GET /api/events/ for the details, POST /api/events//code with a name and email to receive a six-digit code, PUT the code back, then POST your reply. - Anything else (chat, devices, calendars, memory, the board) is for the household only. The right action for an agent is to say so, not to look for a way in. ## What an agent can do here - Read the story: https://kyro.house/info (server-rendered HTML; what Woodhouse is and how it is built) - Read the full technical summary: https://kyro.house/llms-full.txt (README, setup, MCP access, family manual) - Event pages at https://kyro.house/events/ are public by link: GET /api/events/ returns the event and reply counts as JSON; replying needs a signed-in member or a guest who proved an email with a code (POST /api/events//code). Calendar file: /events//invite.ics. Schema: https://kyro.house/openapi.json - Talk to Woodhouse as a bot over MCP: https://kyro.house/eve/v1/mcp (Streamable HTTP, Authorization: Bearer ; tools agent_start / agent_get / agent_update / agent_cancel). Discovery: https://kyro.house/.well-known/mcp.json. Tokens are issued only by the household's owner; there is no sign-up. - Nothing else is open: /api/*, /eve/v1/session and every page except /info, /privacy, /terms, /events/* require a household session. ## Set up your own (short version) 1. Clone https://github.com/kyleroche/kyrohome, `npm install`, `vercel link`, add a domain. 2. Install Neon from the Vercel Marketplace; `node --env-file=.env.local db/apply-schema.mjs`; seed principals (your family) with `db/seed-principals.mjs`. 3. Models come from the Vercel AI Gateway (OIDC, no keys): owner on the newest Grok, family on Grok 4.3, Jev (typesafe-ai/jev) for routing and approvals, GPT-5.5 for board art, GPT-5.4 for the kids' coding. 4. Sign in with Apple (App ID + Services ID + key → APPLE_* env), SESSION_SECRET, APP_URL, HOUSEHOLD_TZ. 5. Optional per integration: Google (a Vercel Connect connector `google/woodhouse`), Linq iMessage (`vercel connect create linq --connection-method line`), Vestaboard, TRMNL, Govee, Avigilon Alta, Blink, Trane, Pentair, Sonos, Eight Sleep, eero, DGX Spark / Mac site agents (companion repo woodhouse-site). 6. Deploy (`git push` or `vercel deploy --prod`). Health: GET /eve/v1/health → 200. Full steps with every env var: https://kyro.house/llms-full.txt and the repo's README.md / SETUP.md. The repo's CLAUDE.md is the working handoff for a coding agent (locked decisions, hard-won lessons, the permission manifest in agent/lib/capabilities.ts). ## Pages - [Info — the story](https://kyro.house/info): every section of what is built, with real captures - [Privacy](https://kyro.house/privacy) - [Terms](https://kyro.house/terms) - [Source](https://github.com/kyleroche/kyrohome): MIT, Next.js 16 + eve on Vercel - [Site agents](https://github.com/kyleroche/woodhouse-site): the native macOS/DGX agents for LAN devices (private) ## Optional - [OpenAPI (public surface)](https://kyro.house/openapi.json) - [MCP discovery](https://kyro.house/.well-known/mcp.json) - [eve framework](https://eve.dev/docs) - [Vercel Connect](https://vercel.com/docs/connect)
